In today’s busy and aggressive society mothers at home are not given much encouragement to be committed to their role in being home.
In my weekly 'Hearts for Home' post I am encouraging myself and others to commit to thinking about what 4-6 things we can do each week to bring our thoughts, prayers and actions to keeping our 'Hearts for Home'.
I am praying that a spirit of gentleness, generosity in thoughts and time along with loveliness and grace would lead us to be all that God wants us to be.
I pray also that each person involved in 'Hearts for Home' would also pray for any others involved as well.
May you be blessed by this initiative. I pray it brings you and your family many blessings.
So each week list 4-6 things you will commit to that will keep your "Hearts for Home'.
Please leave a you name and a link to your blog (if you don't have one just leave your list in the comment box)and perhaps a comment so we can all see and encourage each other.
If you would like, add the 'Hearts for Home' logo to your side bar as a reminder of your goals.
God Bless you this week.
♥I finally worked out Mister Linky: So please leave a link to your Hearts for Home Edition so we can all come and visit.☺♥
I also have decided I need to print out my list so I can constantly refer to it and therefore keep it in my mind.
My list for 15th June is ♥♥
1. To remember my children first above my own needs and wants ( obviously my Honey is away so I cannot put him first except in prayer and thoughts) and so remember to read to my little ones, and not so little for about 1/2 hour each day, when they want and not at my convenience.
2.To be committed to the plans I have made on schooling and chores and jobs.
3. To spend time outside playing with the children, giving them some one on one time, something that is hard to do in a larger family with out a plan to make it happen.
4. To be very diligent in my prayer life this week. Not to leave it till I am too tired at night or so late before I need to get up and moving in the morning before I finish my prayer time.
5. To finish making the Winter items for the cork board and bookcase and seasons table displays. I need this order and reminder of beauty in my life. Also to work on the cross stitch and smocking I want to do.
6. To be extremely patient with the child who constantly wakes during the night and NEEDS me to stay with her always. I am making progress with this one.
Blessings,
PS. I have printed out my list for accountability.
Aloha Gae:
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments.
You have a very lovely blog.
God bless,
You have a lovely site Gae. I enjoyed your list today, numbers one through four were good reminders for me. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Gae,
ReplyDeleteI've been really enjoying your blog again after some computer free months on the move down to Tasmania (maybe somewhere near you?) I've started a new blog with our new life down here and hope to make a hearts at home post each week. It's such a great reminder to myself to have these things written down. I like your idea to print them off, I'm planning on that too! Look forward to reading more encouragement from your lovely blog.

Dear Gae,
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed reading your lists. I'd love to join in, but it will have to wait until things slow down a little bit. I've been feeling rather overwhelmed! Thank you for your kind emails. I'll try and write soon.
God Bless,
Jessica
