Outside My Window ...
Night is well under way finally (with daylight saving) it is an overcast and drizzly evening.
We are starting to get some of the wild daisies we have come up every year. And every year I have a running battle against Kynan with the lawn mower and leaving them to flower instead of cutting them down along side the grass.
***
I am listening to...
Relative silence as the younger children are all asleep. The older boys are in the storeroom looking for an old text book of their dad's for Kynan to use.
I am praying about.....
For Kynan that he will go well with the Job Interview on Thursday. Pleas spare a moment for him also. I am also praying for safe travel for him on the plane and train and buses to and from.
For a miracle sale of our house.
That both boys get good results for the exams they just finished.I am thinking about...
Plans for Christmas.
After wallowing in self pity about not being able to purchase Christmas gifts for our children this year. I finally allowed the creative juices to flow and talked to the children about an idea I had. This has allowed a fresh spirit to invade our home.
I will keep you in suspense as I am going to do a post based on this totally.

I am Reading...
The Out of Sync Child and The Obernewtyn Chronicles. I have read the first 3 books so far.
I had to wait for today for the 4th book- can't wait to start it.
***
From the kitchen....
Breakfast ~ oats and cereal. Herb tea and coffee. Toast and spreads.
Lunch ~ sit down lunch (we usually do this) Ham, potato and pasta salad, other salads veges for sandwiches, spreads and water.
Dinner ~ Left over stew from last night with bread but NO Yorkshire pudding tonight, that is a real pity.
Morning Tea ~ Hello Saxon! hmm, where are you? We seem to be missing this item - again!!!!!I am wearing....
Summer 3/4 pant and shirt pj's and slippers and a dressing gown as it is a little chilly tonight.

Living the Liturgical Year....
All my focus is on preparing for Advent at the moment.
***
From the Learning Room....
Plans for Advent and Christmas. These are in rough draft and I will be posting these this week too.
Mostly we are following plans from here
We have finished "D" week for the The Alphabet Path
I have started "E" week even though I haven't posted plans yet.
Making Christmas presents
Launching "Poor Box Toys Inc." (this is another little teaser for the forthcoming post)Pondering these Words...
Each night as I put Corbyn to sleep or when he wakes up in the night he asks me to sing to him. This is one of the songs I sing to him.
"Lord, you are, more precious than silver,
Lord, you are, more costly than gold,
Lord, you are, more beautiful than diamonds
and nothing I desire compares to You"
Around the house...
Get cleaning rosters back online. This is a bold statement, what I actually mean is get some cleaning actually done.
Really focus on Bedtime and prayer routines this week.
***
I will claim a moment for myself...
Continue making a knitted rabbit for Arwen along with the Advent Tree I found last week while cleaning out the craft baskets.
My favourite thing at the moment...
Arwen is chatting and singing so much, I just love responding to her.
Spending time with my little boy who needs some extra love.
***
A few extra plans for the week...
GOING NOWHERE- well except for taking Kynan to the airport.
I intend to stay home and spend lots of time creating, reading and loving.
***
A Goal for Myself...
Enjoy today each day. Be thankful for all I have and show my love to each of my children, and via long distance to my Honey.

Picture thoughts I am sharing:
Christmas images as that is on my heart and mind at the moment.I pray your own week will be full of Blessings.Blessings,
I have already said a prayer for both you and your husband! I know that God has a perfect plan for ya'll!
ReplyDeleteI am very interested to hear your plans for Christmas. What a blessing to be able to get out of the self pity stage (which is so easy to slip into) and start findking creative alternatives. It reminds me of the book/movie "little Women".
Hope you have a great and productive week!
Enjoyed reading your Daybook. You have a lovely family. May the Lord bless you with abundance this Christmas season and may your husband get the job he needs.
