Don't take Christmas Down!!!!

As we were taking down the Christmas decorations last week we were taken quite by surprise by a little voice crying and saying "Don't take down Christmas."
Corbyn was very upset by the removal of all the things that had represented such joy and family unity in the celebration of Jesus birth.

"I want it to stay, don't take Christmas down!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He was very upset for a long time and had to lovingly handle a lot of the decorations as a way of bidding goodbye to the Christmas season. I was very touched by his sadness and his sweet little ways of coping with this.
It was the first time I remember any of the children being so emotional about taking down the decorations.
Of course as we took down the tree the inevitable happened again only this time Myffwyn joined in with the ultimate sadness. "You can't take down the Christmas tree, Daddy's not here!" and "Poor Daddy, he is missing it!"

So instead of an unhappy Corbyn photo I though I would share some of our cute little Christmas Elf and his amazing smile. right

Too cute for words right? I Just love that little guy to pieces.

Blessings,

  3. Hi Gae,
I couldn't find a place to leave a comment on your Blog List site, so I'll leave it here. I saw you had Karen Andreola's "Pocket Full of Pinecones" on your list of books to read. That is such a great book, and I have read it over a couple of times. May I recommend her sequel to it called "Lessons at Blackberry Inn". It continues on with Carol's story, and I think you would enjoy it too.:-) I referred to Karen's "Companion" many times over the years teaching my children.
    Have a great day!
    Blessings!
