This Week I am finally making an entry to Ginny's Yarn Along, although it really is a very small one in terms of what I have done.
I am attempting to crochet a Granny Square rug for our new baby due in May. I am hoping that I actually will get moving with this project and perhaps being involved here will give me some momentum.
If you look very carefully you will see the very start of it, (quite embarrassing). I am using teal blue, lilac and a cream fleck for the colours.
I have been reading a few books lately (perhaps this reflects in my lack of progress with crafts) but at the moment am reading Vellvin's birthday book The Squire's Tale by Gerald Morris, simply because she asked me to.
My other reading consists of reading to the children from our selection of Advent and Christmas books, (which I am still adding to by the way) from my Book Blog
I am hoping to catch up with others who Yarn Along this week too.

What a lovely project to make and congratulations on the upcomning bundle of joy :) I look forward to seeing more of it next week :)
Maybe this will give be the encouragement I need to start Wee Baby Keller's afghan soon (grandchild 11). He's not due until March but cold weather is grand time to have the comfort of the afghan on my lap. We are sooo excited! Wishing you well! Cathy
Congratulations, Gae! And what a nice project to work on as you anticipate your baby's birth!
I love the colors, it will be beautiful. My birthday is in May, great month to be born!
Ginny's Yarn Along is the biggest reason I haven't quit knitting my baby's cardigan! It sure helps to know that people will be checking up on your work every week. =)
