Today as I have been resting all afternoon.
I have had extreme nerve pain along my ribs in association with the baby over the last few days and it only seems to subside if I don't do anything at all, and lay down.
I have been treated to a lovely long lay down, complete with lunch, coffee and water on tap (so to speak) and a break while I have read a book.
In fact a very leisurely afternoon.
This for me is a simple pleasure although quite enforced. I really don't like doing nothing...nothing at all. Even this morning when I went for my ante-natal check I took a basket with reading material, i-pod, crochet, embroidery and knitting, you know just in case and I did do some while waiting.
But the rest I had this afternoon has allowed me to do a few thing this afternoon, typing this for example.
So I hope that some of you will enjoy some simple pleasure, called resting as you are able. I find I am quite relaxed from it.

Oh dear friend...if it is imposed by others...this simple pleasure is to be cherished :-)
Mrs. M.
You take all the rest you can get, dear lady!!
Sorry to hear you have nerve pain Gae!
It sounds like you really do need to slow down and let your family pamper you right now.
Take good care of yourself and baby :-)
prayers and blessings..Trish
Yes, you do need the rest right about now. :-) Sorry I've missed a couple of your posts... Happy Be-lated anniversary to you! And thank you for the great recipes. The Peach and Rum Puddingcake sounds wonderful!
God bless,
Anne ♥
I feel for you with the nerve pain. At the end of my pregnancies I get the sciatic nerve pain and can hardly walk.
I think our Lord wants you to rest up in preparation!Isn't it great to have all those helpers so that you can rest? Remember how much more difficult it was to rest when all you had were little ones? I do!! I am so excited for you!Take care.
Resting ,and with all the items needed for a nice rest ......
blessings to you and yours
Take it easy while you can. Not much longer and your little one will be here. Best wishes, Tammy
I'm glad you are feeling a bit rested, but I hope you will take it easy and let others help you out.
It sounds like you are like most moms and can't (or like me feel guilty) for doing nothing...but sometimes it is just plain nice.
Have a happy Mothers Day!
Rest ... one of life's necessities, but so often overlooked. Bless you for linking up and reminding us of the need to rest, and please take care of yourself, or let someone else take care of you. :)
Isn't it funny how God has to force some of us to just rest? He has to do that to me, too.
Even when I'm resting in body, my mind struggles against the yoke.
Being able to do it is a simple pleasure for me, too.
