Last week while out running quite a few errands in one of our malls I had to go past Big W and they happened to have a few tables of books out the front of the shop.
Now of course I had to go over and see if there was anything of interest, especially as I thought there might be a small item or two that I might be able to pick up for the children for Christmas.
As I wandered around the tables I did not see anything that appealed to me that was worth departing with my cash for, even if everything seemed to be at a reduced price.
That is until I saw this book Celebrate- A Year of Festivities for families and friends.
Now this is the type of book that immediately calls to me. Words that say celebrate, family and traditions will always appeal to me as these are the hallmarks of the way I build memories in our family.
It appealed to me as well due to the beautiful illustrations that are contained in it.
So even though when I checked the price it was a little more than I wanted to pay, it is a hard cover book and they do cost more, however I thought it looked like a it had enough ideas in it that would make it worthwhile.
When I got it home I discovered how right I was. It really is a gem and I am so excited that I did buy it.
There are delightful recipes one of which I made for Vellvin's birthday last week and many ideas to share in the seasonal celebrations for the year.
I actually would say that this as one of my few favourite books in regards to family traditions and creating memories and wonderful ideas that inspire the mind to think of other ideas based from the ideas contained within to make them your own and inspire your own creativity.
So if you are looking for a beautiful book to start some new traditions in your home or if you are just getting started on this journey of building memories for your family this most assuredly is a wonderful way to get started.
What are my other favourite books that I would add to this one if I were starting my library or a new family?
Well, I look forward to sharing this with you very soon!
Blessings to you and your homes,
What a delightful find! I will have to keep my eyes open to see if it is available here :)
