I am way behind again in posting about our Holy week activities and our wonderful Easter.
We have had a very difficult 2 last weeks of Lent. I nearly posted a pity me post on Tuesday but thankfully didn't.
We have had sickness as you know. It has taken until today for Saxon to completely recover and we are down to the last person with a cold.
However for all of Holy week we have had no running water due to our pump failing. This means no Hot water and no stove and therefore no way of cooking until lunch time Good Friday. We still didn't have the water situation fixed until Holy Saturday afternoon.
So we have mountains of washing to catch up on and folding up as well. I am pretty sure we have done over 20 large loads of washing in 2 days.
Here however are some of our Holy Thursday- Maundy Thursday images.
Here are our Apostles and Jesus finished ready to be used in the Presentation of the Last Supper.
A back view of them all.
Set up in the Cenacle
I am really pleased with how they came out. I think though they were harder than the Alphabet Saints as it was harder to find different ways of identifying each Apostle.
A view from above.
I also drew on the bottom of each one with the symbol for each Apostle.
Jesus
St Simon
St Andrew
St John
St James
Judas the betrayer
St Mathew
St Bartholomew
St James the Lesser
St Peter
St Jude
St Phillip
St Thomas
Some images of Arwen playing with the Cenacle and the Apostles and Jesus
She loved putting them under the bottom and pulling them out.
This is our banner of the Last Supper we have that we pull out each Holy Week. It is a fabric panel I bought some years ago and put on a felt backing, don't look to close as it is crocked.
Anyone know how to take photos without getting them blurry like my apostles?

Your painted apostles are beautiful. as is the cenacle. and your daughter's wispy hair is adorable too. I did not realize that each apostle had a symbol associated with him. I will have to learn about that. and the banner is beautiful.
Praying for you, Gae! What a trying Holy Week! May your Easter celebrations be more peaceful. I'm sending giant hugs your way.
What an awesome job you did with the apostles and Jesus!
Gae
Love your apostles! You'll have to set up an etsy shop;)
Wow what a trying week! {{}}
I was thinking of you all day Sunday, was tempted to ring but didn't want to intrude on Stephen time.{{}}
Those are the neatest little apostles I've ever seen!! Love them!
Are you all feeling better now? I sure hope so. We have some sickness running through us. Thankfully it seems to come and go quickly.
Oh what is the kind conversation group about?

Hi Gae,
What fun you must have had putting all of the Apostles and Jesus together!
The only way that I have been able to take photos close up is to use the macro setting and turn the flash off on the camera. Make sure that you have the lights on if the daylight is not very bright.
HTH,
Have a wonderful week,
Love and blessings,
Jillian ♥
