In today’s busy and aggressive society mothers at home are not given much encouragement to be committed to their role in being home.
In my weekly 'Hearts for Home' post I am encouraging myself and others to commit to thinking about what 4-6 things we can do each week to bring our thoughts, prayers and actions to keeping our 'Hearts for Home'.
I am praying that a spirit of gentleness, generosity in thoughts and time along with loveliness and grace would lead us to be all that God wants us to be.
I pray also that each person involved in 'Hearts for Home' would also pray for any others involved as well.
May you be blessed by this initiative. I pray it brings you and your family many blessings.
So each week list 4-6 things you will commit to that will keep your "Hearts for Home'.
Please leave a you name and a link to your blog (if you don't have one just leave your list in the comment box) and perhaps a comment so we can all see and encourage each other.
If you would like, add the 'Hearts for Home' logo to your side bar as a reminder of your goals.
God Bless you this week.
♥ Please leave a link to your Hearts for Home Edition on the Mister Linky at the end of the post, so we can all come and visit.
I would also appreciate you linking back here too.☺ ♥ ♥
I also have decided I need to print out my list so I can constantly refer to it and therefore keep it in my mind. I also need to have it put up where I can see it constantly.
My list for the 30th November is ♥ ♥
1. Most of us are going much better with our St Andrew Novena now. Concentrate on our prayers for our house sale with faith, even if it be as small as a mustard seed.
2. Really start to make lots of cookies and the Christmas cakes and put them in the freezer. We don't eat any until our Midnight Feast after Mass on Christmas (very early morning)
3. Put up our Christmas Tree this week. We were going to put it up on St Lucy Day but Kynan is away and we still try to do these things together.
4. Continue to be diligent in saying the children's night prayers. Going much better now, perhaps I am not quite so tired.
5. Pick up the last few items of Christmas Presents. I did a large amount organising and shopping on Saturday and mostly covered it.
6. Focus on our family time together and our prayer time as well. In the bustle of life and Advent I find we aren't as focused on each other as we should be. Try and see who needs me and be willing to be "needed" in our busyness.
Blessings to you and your homes,
Yes, and I know what the others are (mostly) getting!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHAHA!
Hello, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteWe both have cookies and goodies on our minds this week:))
"Be willing to be needed"
I love that...thank you!
I know just what you mean about the hustle and bustle of the season tending to push aside our focus on one another...I too, am feeling a need to re-connect and rest in the company of FAMILY.
I love putting up the tree! Have fun with that.
ReplyDeleteGae, I hope you have a great week baking your biscuits and decorating your tree. Sounds like happy fun days ahead for you. So glad to hear your prayers with the kids are working well :-) As usual.. you inspire us to be all we can be for our families and Our Lord. God bless you dear lady!
