Hearts for Home- A New Year Edition ♥

In today’s busy and aggressive society mothers at home are not given much encouragement to be committed to their role in being home.

In my weekly 'Hearts for Home' post I am encouraging myself and others to commit to thinking about what 4-6 things we can do each week to bring our thoughts, prayers and actions to keeping our 'Hearts for Home'.

I am praying that a spirit of gentleness, generosity in thoughts and time along with loveliness and grace would lead us to be all that God wants us to be.

I pray also that each person involved in 'Hearts for Home' would also pray for any others involved as well.

May you be blessed by this initiative. I pray it brings you and your family many blessings.

So each week list 4-6 things you will commit to that will keep your "Hearts for Home'.
Please leave a you name and a link to your blog (if you don't have one just leave your list in the comment box) and perhaps a comment so we can all see and encourage each other.

If you would like, add the 'Hearts for Home' logo to your side bar as a reminder of your goals.
God Bless you this week.

♥ Please leave a link to your Hearts for Home Edition on the Mister Linky at the end of the post, so we can all come and visit.
I would also appreciate you linking back here too.☺ ♥ ♥

I also have decided I need to print out my list so I can constantly refer to it and therefore keep it in my mind. I also need to have it put up where I can see it constantly.

My list for the 4th January is ♥ ♥
Firstly I would like to apologise for not visiting the ladies who participated last week. I got focused on other issues and missed doing it. I regret this as I really do find the encouragement I need by seeing what you all are doing. Often I find God working in my life by what you share....that I missed seeing myself.

1. Organise my desk so I can find things.

2. Make sure we are ready for our celebration of Epiphany on Thursday

3. Take down the Christmas Decorations either of Thursday or Friday

4. I would like to re-organise (take out some of the toys etc and either give them away or put in storage) the children's playroom aka, Butterfly Room so they actually play with the toys and not just create a mess with too much stuff.

5. Continue to to enjoy this holiday time with our family while we can before we get back into a more organised focus for lessons.

6. Finalise what it is that I would like to achieve in my goals and ambitions this year.
Blessings to you and your homes,

  1. Your list could have been mine. Organize!!! I could completely relate to the one about decluttering their toys so they could enjoy them instead of just making a mess:-0

The week before Christmas our kiddos go through all their toys, clothes and clean house in preparation for the new things that will be coming.

I love having that brief time of less clutter in their rooms :-)

  4. Dear Gae,

It has been such a blessing to me today, reading your list. In a way, I tend to also overlook what goes on around me way too often :)

I would really like to join you this week.

  8. You amaze me, my friend. You are yet still soooo productive while carrying this twelfth wee one in the womb...You must be given such special graces to do these things.
    Have a wonderful week!

  9. Gae,

This sounds like a wonderful idea! Does it matter what day of the week we do this?

I think this will be a challenge for me, as it will hold me to be accountable for keeping my home in order, but it's something I need since as of late, I haven't been the best homemaker and wife I can be for my husband, and I know that this is not a good thing.

Pray for me that I would take have the courage to take this challenge of accountability!

    Blessings,

    -Lady Rose

P.S. You have a lovely blog. I have chosen to follow you. I hope you don't mind that. :)
