The Last Supper

As part of our plans for Holy week I will be giving the children a presentation of the Last Supper.
I still have to paint these peg people as Jesus and the 12 Apostles like I did for our Alphabet Saints.
I have had the Cenacle made for quite a few years but had dithered about making the figures to go with it. I am so glad I did now as I LOVE painting the figures and really am pleased with how they come up.
This is how Braedon made the Cenacle for me. I have been very guilty in not using the CGS works he made for me but have made a great effort in the last few weeks. Also in our " G Week" ( I haven't posted this yet) we did a presentation of the Good Shepherd using the materials provided by Braedon.
This is a close up of the Last Supper table, also made by Braedon, with the miniature candles and Chalice and Paten.
AS I have been showing these photos I thought I would show you are Baptism font, made by yes, Braedon and the small shoe box display that we keep some of our 'Atrium' items in.
This is our "Atrium bookcase" and has most of our Liturgical books and items for helping celebrate the Liturgical year. The other bookcase is in the playroom with the boxes of over flow items specifically for Easter and Christmas.

Blessings,

the cenacle is lovely, as is the baptismal font. Braedon has real talent. the little accessories for the last supper and the annuciation are delightful. can't wait to see the last supper Jesus and apostles when you've got them done, since I love your alphabet of Saints dolls.

I love the whole Last Supper presentation! Looking forward to seeing all the apostles finished.
The saints are wonderful - I particularly like St. Ursula. :-)
Your children are so precious and look so concentrated on what they are doing. Very hard at work :-)
God bless,
Anne

What a gifted carpenter you have there, Gae! Your Last Supper work is just beautiful. I love the purple figures, too.

I was so hoping to get a Loveliness Fair post to you, but alas... I haven't had the time to write one. I look forward to reading the fair, though!

Sending many many hugs your way as we journey into Holy Week.

Love, Sarah

Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich's writings are available online and gives a very detailed account of the last supper (and Passion).
