Along the Alphabet Path - K week

Well it has once again been ages since we completed K Week in our Home, in  fact we have finished L Week and are about to start M week on Monday.
I did use our Plans for this week  but It is hard to remember all the did with this letter. I do remember that we did not do as much creative making items as  I usually like to do and so haven't got a lot to show for our couple of weeks on this.
So I will just share some images of all the things we did achieve.
We did continued reading from the below books using the letter K page:

The Complete Book of the Flower Fairies
Waldorf Alphabet Book
L M N O P and All the Letters A to Z
An Alphabet of Catholic Saints
The Angels' Alphabet (Lamb Time)
Museum ABC
A Stands for Angel
A is for Altar B is for Bible
Letters from Heaven
Saints
More Saints: Lives & Illuminations
We also spent a lot of time just saying words that begin with K and then tracing and writing K
Our three little students filling in some great worksheets I found on line as well as an old Fitzroy Reader Alphabet book I found I had and never used.
Myffwyn with the Handwriting Aids we made making the letter K
K is for St Kateri Tekawitha

Using the Cuisenaire rods for the letter K

Moran with her Koala bookmarks.
Colouring in the Giant tree for our Australian K Animals
Arwen colouring her Kookaburra
Lots of crayons and fun
The Koalas, Kangaroos and Kookaburras in the tree.
A close up of our tree. It stood for quite a few days before it lost contact with the  wall.
Myffwyn with her Cornmeal K and Sandpaper K
Moran and her Cornmeal and Sandpaper K
Kisses start with K too!!
Of course our Kittens were born during K week.
Moran wanted to make her name with the Handwriting Aids
Some K work that Rogan was  keen to do with Corbyn.
We sang lots of little L songs: "Three little Kittens" was our favourite though and Eden drew a mother kitten and three little kittens for us.
Three little kittens they lost their mittens, and they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, we sadly fear that we have lost our mittens."
"What! Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie."
"Meeow, meeow, meeow, now we shall have no pie."
The three little kittens they found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, see here, see here
For we have found our mittens."
"Put on your mittens, you silly kittens
And you shall have some pie"
"Meeow, meeow, meeow,
We then cut out felt mittens to put on the kittens so we could act out the little rhyme
Myffwyn's work pages.
Moran's work pages
The K sound pouch
A mini kite for K week.
K week books.
K is for Kaya books
Tom Kitten is one of our favourite books
Kit also is a great favourite in our home too.

We also found on line some of our favourite songs from when our older boys were young. We had a  video of Don Spencer when they were little. The boys used to watch this often and we sang the songs a lot.
We loved watching and singing these songs again as we haven't been able to see them for so long.

what a funfilled K week. we love st. Kateri here! and I do love the huge trees with all the (Austalian!!) animals in it -- kangas, koalas, and that other one I'm not familiar with! the books on Kaya -- is that in reference to the American Girl doll Kaya? I just received an American Girl catalog yesterday and a doll named Kaya was in it. I'm not at all familiar with the American Girl but thought the Kaya doll (and the Josephina one) was very nice. Have a wonderful week.
