It seems as if I have been neglecting this little space for a while. Oh, I might throw in a post here and there, make one or two comments and then it seems I quickly retreat to the 'off line' world.
In truth I seem to be focusing on the time we are having together on this time away from our everyday lives, where the routine (or not) of the familiar keeps us within the boundaries of our lives.
Our time together with our children truly is a precious gift and although our Kynan has not been able to spend the whole time with us, the fact he is just a few hours drive away is a gift to savour.
Of course this has it's down side too!
It reinforces the fact that when we go home, across the water, it is a HUGE step away from friends and our dear son. Gone again will be the days of just hoping in the car and going for 'a visit,' and we will be back to the huge task of having to meet the expense of air or ship travel to even start the journey to be with loved ones for special occasion or even for a much needed 'cuppa' and fellowship.
So while I treasure each and every day we are able to build memories and do special things I still am aware, even in the back of my mind, how quickly time marches on and life changes. How soon our sweet little babies grow into capable and competent young men and women, without any time having seeming to have passed.
So as I reflect and am thankful for the opportunities to have this time and even to look forward to the future, I know that I need to take the time to just sit back and 'have a cuppa' with those I love.
Won't you join me?

I'm been thinking of you alot, wondering how it is all going. {{}} You are in my thoughts and prayers, praying you enjoy this special time. and saying a special prayer for Autumn.
So true, Gae! I do not see all my children together often enough. It is difficult sometimes. But when we do get together - it feels like heaven! :)
Thank you Gae, it will be my pleasure to join you :)
May you continue to enjoy the joys of your life today!

Spending time with family is very important, and should always come before spending time with blogging or playing on the computer.
Enjoy your time with your family, and know that I am thinking about you. :)
This is the time to just *be* with your family.
You are right..kids grow up and move out much sooner than we think they will.
So every moment we get to catch up with them is very precious!!
Yes please, I'll have a cuppa too, dear friend :-)
hugs..Trish
Ahh...so sweet and just precious.
