Earlier in the week we made Pizza because it is one of our favourite 'special time' food.
Autumn makes the bases, based on a recipe we were given some time ago.
Everyone helps with the cutting and organising of the toppings.
We grate our own cheese and use quite a lot of it.
The toppings we use are:
Diced bacon, shredded ham, salami cut up, prawns, anchovies, dried tomatoes, capsicum(fresh), pineapple, fresh mushrooms, sliced black olives and obviously cheese.
We have s very large kitchen bench so there is plenty of room to spread around. We also have a large wood burning stove that allows us to cook 6 pizzas at a time rotating through the ovens.
Notice our guest busy in the kitchen.
This is the dough recipe we use:
10 cups of bread flour
4 tsp of sugar
2 tsp salt
6 cups of warm water
6 tbsp of oil
15 tsp of yeast
Place flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl and combine.
Add the oil and dissolve the yeast in the warm water.
Mix and knead as you would to make bread.
Keep kneading until it springs back.
Keep in a warm place until it doubles in size approx 30-45 minutes.
Then roll into pizza shapes and decorate with sauce and toppings.
For the sauce we just use the regular BBQ sauce we have our other sauce topping meals.
One of the finished pizza ready to eat.
The types of pizza we have are:Ham and Pineapple
