St Francis of Assisi-- 2009

We didn't actually get much done on this Feast Day.
We decided to celebrate on Monday as there had been too many organised feasts too close together for a tired Mummy.
However I had to take Moran for her appointment with CAMHS and that took a fair part of our day.
Saxon our resident morning tea maker made these (with a little help from the little ones) out of Gingerbread Cookie dough.

The children did make some Mini animal cookies in celebration of this day and we had Little Mini Pizza's (Our version of quick Italian food) and we prayed some prayers especially in honour of these dear Saint. I do believe that Rogan who has a special devotion to animals will take St Francis as his Confirmation Saint when the time comes.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

St Francis Prayer for us!
