Small Successes 42

FaithButton
It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

1. WE went to the rock pools again this week. This time Stephen came with us and the children 'swam' in the non existent waves ----fully clothed.
They also found a small cave that was able to be seen with the tide out and we were astonished at how different the beach looked this time .

2. I had the younger children all organised with activities and attitudes and jobs that needed to be done today as I took both older boys over to Launceston for their exams.

3. I FINALLY (this has been a very trying thing to do) contacted Moran's pediatrician in regards to the results of her LOST EEG. It has finally been found and the results were normal. However she has had another seizure and the Doctor tells us that 10% of all Epilepsy is not able to be shown on an EEG. She has started some medication as of tonight. I pray that everything works out with this.

Bonus 4. I was able to go to Spotlight today all on my own as Braedon had Arwen and Kynan was in his exam. I had a lovely time looking at patterns for the girls and brought home 2 samples of Christmas print for them to decide on.
I also just browsed through the craft section and fabrics writing down prices and idea.
This is so much easier and more enjoyable without the little children in the shop.
Thank you Braedon for taking Arwen outside for a walk.

Well this is my list for this week. To enjoy some other wonderful Small Successes visit Faith and Family this week.

Blessings

Hey SWeetie! I've been praying for you, even when gone absent the last few weeks!

So sorry for all the medical news, but proud of all you've done for your family...wow.

God Bless you. You inspire me with my ever growing family!

Thank you for sharing your successes. I'm glad to hear you were able to get some time away on your own. As much as we love our children, sometimes that is what's needed. My time away is my weekly hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It is my time of peace.

I will be going tonight to adoration and will remember your little Moran and pray that the new meds work.

God bless you!

Dear Gae,

You have such a beautiful blog here! I am so glad that you took time to leave a comment on my blog~Children make life worth living, don't they?

It sounds like you've had a very busy week~I hope everything works out with the epilepsy medication. My oldest daughter has Type 1 diabetes, and nothing has made me realize my complete dependence on the Lord more than living with that!

May you and your family be blessed always,

Marqueta

Dear Gae,

Those rock pools sound wonderful! I wish we could visit something like that.

I am so sorry for you and your sweet little girl. I know how scary it can be. My husband has adult onset epilepsy (he had his first grand mal seizure the morning of my first child's due date!) His EEGs were all normal as well. The good news is he has done great on the meds and has never had a seizure off meds.

There might be an adjustment period while they adjust her levels and so on. It is such a strange thing, and they don't seem to know too much about it, but I do think in general, the doctors have been able to really help those that suffer with epilepsy.

Prayers for you and Moran!

My oldest has epilepsy--yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of his first seizure. He's been on meds since March and no other real incident, thank God. Our prayers are with you.

I enjoyed your comment about the ease of fabric shopping without the little ones in tow. I completely understand! Picking out my daughter's dress material would have been so much easier had she not been 1) chewing on the zipper package and 2) dropping the bias tape out of the basket while we shopped. :)

Thanks so much for your recent comment on my blog! You have a beautiful family!!! Sounds like you had a busy week. I took my 5 to the fabric store yesterday, and I agree that it's so much easier to go without them. They were good, but it's just hard to concentrate and make wise decisions on what to buy and what not to buy!
