In today’s busy and aggressive society mothers at home are not given much encouragement to be committed to their role in being home.
In my weekly 'Hearts for Home' post I am encouraging myself and others to commit to thinking about what 4-6 things we can do each week to bring our thoughts, prayers and actions to keeping our 'Hearts for Home'.
I am praying that a spirit of gentleness, generosity in thoughts and time along with loveliness and grace would lead us to be all that God wants us to be.
I pray also that each person involved in 'Hearts for Home' would also pray for any others involved as well.
May you be blessed by this initiative. I pray it brings you and your family many blessings.
So each week list 4-6 things you will commit to that will keep your "Hearts for Home'.
Please leave a you name and a link to your blog (if you don't have one just leave your list in the comment box)and perhaps a comment so we can all see and encourage each other.
If you would like, add the 'Hearts for Home' logo to your side bar as a reminder of your goals.
God Bless you this week.
♥ Please leave a link to your Hearts for Home Edition on the Mister Linky at the end of the post, so we can all come and visit.
I would also appreciate you linking back here too.☺ ♥ ♥
I also have decided I need to print out my list so I can constantly refer to it and therefore keep it in my mind. I also need to have it put up where I can see it constantly.
My list for the 8th December is ♥ ♥
1. To focus on preparing my heart for the coming of Our Lord in my prayer time and focus this week.
2. Continue to spend time in creative pursuits ~ like making more Christmas presents for everyone.
3. To do as many of the feast days and Advent activities as we can this week.
4. TO cook more cakes and cookies, for the boys especially to take with them to work.
5. Continue putting up our Christmas decorations around the house.
6. To encourage each of the children in their Advent reflections and to appreciate all their gifts and talents and how they use them.

Such wonderful goals for the week! I also want to draw my children's attention to what Advent is all about. We're reading an Advent journey book and memorizing some Scriptures.
I'm so pleased to be able to participate in this again. It's been such a blessing to me. We're still praying for you Gae and all your family that you will sell the house soon, and for Moran. May you all be richly blessed during Advent as you prepare to welcome Our Lord.
blessings,
Rebekah
The spirit of Advent reaches out from your home to all of us...I can FEEL it in your writing! I offered my Mass and Eucharist for your dear family on Sunday Gae!
Your blog is beautiful. I love your Hearts for Home, what a wonderful idea.

Hi gae,
I have enjoyed reading your list. It is so wonderful to meet other Catholic women with a heart for the home. Would you please share the link for all the beautiful clip art you use. Also Can I use the prolife button on my blog?
Blessings,
Elizabeth
