Books we have Enjoyed this Week

We have enjoyed many books this week but I am keeping my round up to ten as usual.
These are mostly oldies but goodies.

I remember how much Saxon now 13 loved So Much. He wanted it all the time. He couldn't get enough of it. Now it is such a family classic, with everyone joining in the bits we have cherished as family.

The Quilt maker's Gift is such a beautiful story on the joy of giving. The illustrations are so detailed and beautiful.

As illustrations are a big part of picture books for me that is why I love Amber on the Mountain, The Baby Dances and All the places to Love.
These are superbly illustrated books.

I can not count the times I have read Drummer Hoff the the children. They love it!!! As these sort of illustrations are not for me it is the rhyming text that saves the story for me. But as I said the little ones adore it.

The jewel Heart and When I was Young in the Mountains are both very different stories but ones the children get out and have a cycle of these ones again and again.

I so love reading beautiful picture books with our children.♥ ♥

What have you been reading?
Blessings,

o

Hi Gae,
It's wonderful to be able to enjoy reading, isn't it? I think that the best gifts that we can give our children are the gift of our time and the gift of reading.

Illustrations are so important in the early stages of reading, as good illustrations excite and stimulate the imagination. :D

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend,
Jillian ♥
