Christmas Day

Autumn's homemade gifts
Our Christmas Day this year was filled with lots of excitement and fun.
It contained lots of food to eat and celebrations to enjoy.
Another family occasion that we have been blessed to have and enjoy. Hopefully this will be added to a store of family traditions and times that will remain with the children as they leave to build their own family traditions and homes.

Not to forget (as if we could) the reason we celebrate Christmas was to remember and rejoice in the joy of the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
On Christmas morning the children find the Christ Child in the manger snuggled by the straw that represents their sacrifices, good deeds and  prayers they added as gifts to Jesus during Advent.
The Countdown Angel has completed her task and.....
has delivered the Christ child to the manger!

The Christmas Altar.......now dressed in white.
Arwen carrying Baby Jesus around the house.
Putting Baby Jesus in the Manger.....ever so carefully
And now we come to the opening of the Christmas Gifts.......no real comments except we try to get photos of each child with their gifts.
We try to go from youngest to oldest in the opening of gifts.

Enjoying the gifts form under the tree. In fact the little ones are handing out the ones they made to others.
Arwen opening home made gifts from siblings, after her nap and all the other gifts had been distributed.
Our Christmas meal table all set and ready to share the feast of Christ's Nativity.

Once again I share this with you not out of a 'look at what we did,' but to share in the love of the 'ordinariness' of family life and joy that brings into my own. May your own be as rich as ours is!

Merry Christmas to all!!

Blessings to you and your homes,
