The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Movie

Today I was able to take our children to see The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Both Vellvin and Saxon had been given a movie ticket by Kynan and Braedon for their birthdays, along with the inclusion of 2 other people each and snacks included.
This was a very impressive gift and the children were very thankful for the generosity of both boys and it was a very appreciated gift today.

Of course they wanted to see it in 3D and because we don't like to take the younger children to movies we haven't previewed Kynan looked after the little ones.
The little ones were able to have their own private party with homemade popcorn, chips and fizzy drink. This is what we have always done with leaving little ones at home, so they can have a special time too.

Having seen the movie I still wouldn't take our under 10's to it as it really is quite impressionable on the big screen with the loud sourround sound etc.
I think when it comes out on DVD and in the 'safety' of our own home it will be fine to watch this with our little ones.
The movie goes ready for the big adventure
I thought it was a great movie to continue on the series of the Narnia movies based on the books.
Of course if you are a purest Narnian fan there are parts of the movie that are not in the book and vise versa, as there are in each of the movies.

However as a general rendition of the books as a movie it tells the important details well and with enough action and suspence to keep you interested.

Of course as I type now our some of the children are litstening to our very old copies  (on casstette tape) of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

For your veiwing pleasure  and those who havent seen this yet, Iwould like to include a trailer of this very great family movie (but remember our under 10's did not see on the big screen)

Blessings to you and your homes,

Fun! I am a purist and I am trying to get used to the idea it will not be pure :)

I also do not take the littles to see this stuff on the big screen. My 9 yo will get to go this time, though. He is excited.

Thanks for your thoughts!

We are so eager to see this movie! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate your thoughts about allowing the movie for the younger kids but from the safety of your own home. I also make that decision on certain movies, it makes a difference too!

Our family is sitting on pins and needles waiting for it to come out. Here in Canada it won't be in the theatres until the 10th. Can't wait to see it! ~Alana~
