"I proclaim the 20th of May Eliza Doolittle Day!"

Are you all preparing for yet another celebration day in your families?
Perhaps not!
However we are awaiting our next one which comes tomorrow just a couple of days before our next couple of birthdays.

As a family we love musicals and as such have watched 'My Fair Lady' and naturally we need to do just what it says in the song "Just you wait Henry Higgins " - "Next week on the twentieth of May
I proclaim 'Liza Doolittle Day!"

So here are some new ideas for celebrating 'Liza Doolittle Day  that can be added to our old ones from some years ago
In a more time period look at the movie we are going to be doing-

Watch Edwardian farm for a look at farm life in this era. This is a great show we have enjoyed it so much in the past
Edwardian Manor House - similar to above but in a huge manor showing the differences in the class system ( a few adult references)
Children's Fashions
Colouring page of fashions and another and more
Edwardian Script to practise
Paper Doll ideas to buy

We are also hoping to talk in 'cockney' all day- well lets be realistic for part of the day at least :)
Here is a you tube on how to do an accent and another
For the fun of it here is some rhyming slang as well
A couple of free on line colouring pics
Happy Celebrating !!
Blessings to you and your homes,

Oh yes, the chocolate sounds like a great idea!
Great to 'meet' someone else with my love of musicals! I only just rewatched My Fair Lady two weeks ago. Another favourite is The King and I. And The Sound of Music, and, and, and!!
Happy Eliza Doolittle Day!
