Hearts for Home- 22nd February ♥

In today’s busy and aggressive society mothers at home are not given much encouragement to be committed to their role in being home.

In my weekly 'Hearts for Home' post I am encouraging myself and others to commit to thinking about what 4-6 things we can do each week to bring our thoughts, prayers and actions to keeping our 'Hearts for Home'.

I am praying that a spirit of gentleness, generosity in thoughts and time along with loveliness and grace would lead us to be all that God wants us to be.

I pray also that each person involved in 'Hearts for Home' would also pray for any others involved as well.

May you be blessed by this initiative. I pray it brings you and your family many blessings.

So each week list 4-6 things you will commit to that will keep your "Hearts for Home'.
Please leave a you name and a link to your blog (if you don't have one just leave your list in the comment box) and perhaps a comment so we can all see and encourage each other.

If you would like, add the 'Hearts for Home' logo to your side bar as a reminder of your goals.
God Bless you this week.

♥ Please leave a link to your Hearts for Home Edition on the Mister Linky at the end of the post, so we can all come and visit.
I would also appreciate you linking back here too.☺ ♥ ♥

Sorry for the late edition again I have had pathology appointments and an emergency room visit this afternoon.

My list for the 22nd February is ♥ ♥

Well I really did not achieve much on my last from last week.
So many of my goals are still the same. However I did finish up my lesson plans for our younger children on my learning blog. Which was a HUGE stress for me.

So once again here are my goals:

1. Write  letters to my lovely pen friends. I finally found some pretty paper to use, who would think this would be so hard to find. I guess that is because people don't write any more. I really enjoy this but need to allow time to fit it in.
High priority this week!!

2. Tidy my desk .......again. I read a quote the other day which I like in regards to this :
'If a cluttered desk is an indication of a cluttered mind what is indicated by and empty desk?"
Seriously when I ma planning things I cannot clean it up as well.

3. Start my patchwork square for my swap for my new Quilting group. I am looking forward to this one.

4. Continue to read the new read alouds we started this week Baby Island and A Thousand Million Francs

5.Start my painting of some peg people for this swap. I have ideas and the story all ready to go, I think this will be really fun and easy to do. Really I suggest you go and check it out for a fast and fun craft project.

6. Try not to get distracted by reading good children's books. I have been compelled to finish one series that Vellvin wanted me to read and now I am enjoying another one. This really cuts into my craft time and believe it or not blogging time too.
So many things to enjoy and not enough time to do it all.....let alone those tasks I am supposed to do as a homemaker. Really this is a blessings to be able to find contentment in so many choices. I am blessed☺

Blessings to you and your homes,

Dear Gae,

Yes, sometimes it is hard to accomplish everything that you write on your lists...but the best thing is that you are given another day to accomplish it :-)

In regards to the petticoat, I use an A-line skirt pattern and make it with either a zipper (which I prefer) or an elastic waistband.

Try to find a pattern that is 'super' simple...no complicated stitching. :-)

Blessings to you dear one,

Maria.

Dear Gae, I hope you are ok?!
Quilting and reading aloud sounds made for each other :-)
I see there is a problem with the linky. I've posted my Hearts for Home but I'm not showing up on your blog.
I pray all is well with you and your week ahead is blessed, my friend!
love..Trish
