Happy St Patiricks Day

St. Patrick (389-460 AD), missionary to Ireland, is a Christian that all can be proud of, Catholic and Protestant alike. We celebrate his martyrdom on March 17 each year.

Being of Irish heritage, our family loves St Patrick and of course Ireland too. This is a feast day we celebrate with much enthusiasm.

However rather than some of our old plans and in the spirit of my trying not to do too much this week we will be doing some simple crafts and cooking with the children today.

so if you would like to share what we have don later on today, pop in later to see what we have done.

Until then I leave you with this beautiful prayer from St Patrick:

Prayer for the Faithful~
May the Strength of God guide us.
May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us.
May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us.
May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Angels of God guard us.
- Against the snares of the evil one.

May Christ be with us!
May Christ be before us!
May Christ be in us,
Christ be over all!

May Thy Grace, Lord,
Always be ours,
This day, O Lord, and forevermore. Amen

Blessings to you and your homes,
