A Simple Womans Daybook -

A Simple Woman's Daybook 23rd November~

Here is the link to Peggy's who is our Hostess for A Simple Womans Daybook. Hop on over and see what some others are doing this week.

Outside My Window ...
We have had a lot of rain again. This is good for the grass and plants to grow and for the bore water supply. It means though that children can't go outside and washing only dries between showers.
I do love rainy days, but I am a loner in this desire.
***
I am listening to...
There is only the sound of the stove as it makes it's banking down noises tonight. all are in bed and asleep....for the moment.
I am praying about.....
My dear devoted Husband who can't come home until just before Christmas.
that Kynan gets the job he interviewed for.
that Moran goes well for her two assessments this week.
About dear friends on their building project.
That we can make all the presents we need for Christmas in time.
For a miracle sale of our house.
That both boys get good results for the exams they just finished.
***
I am thinking about...
Plans for Christmas.
This consumes me at the moment
How I need to be a more loving, gentle, generous and focused mummy. Especially with our challenging children.

I am Reading...
The Out of Sync Child and The Skystone. This is the first non children's book I have read in a while and while the story is good, I wish they would leave the Adult themes out of it.
***
From the kitchen....
Breakfast ~ oats and cereal. Herb tea and coffee. Toast and spreads.
Lunch ~ a counter lunch or whatever you can grab.
Except the little ones who had a Francis lunch for "F" week
Dinner ~ Original Chicken Gravy Potato Pie,designed and made by Braedon along with beans, peas and corn and bread rolls
Morning Tea ~ Jacks Potato Crisps and Cadbury Chocolate. well a little of each as it doesn't go far divided among 10 people.
***
I am wearing...
Flannelet PJ bottoms and white t shirt and slippers. Dressing gown comes on and off depending on what I am doing.

Living the Liturgical Year....
All my focus is on preparing for Advent at the moment.
***
From the Learning Room....
Plans for Advent and Christmas.
Mostly we are following plans from here
We are working through"F" week for the The Alphabet Path
Making Christmas presents
***
I am Pondering these words...
"As for me and My House, we will serve the Lord" Joshua 24:15. and praying we do.
We have a beautiful plaque of this we have had almost from the time we had children

Around the house...
Get cleaning rosters back online. This is a bold statement, what I actually mean is get some cleaning actually done.
Really focus on Bedtime and prayer routines this week.
***
I will claim a moment for myself...
Continue making a knitted rabbit for Arwen along with the sewing the Advent Tree and the cross stitches I am working on.

My favourite thing at the moment...
Watching Arwen trying to move about without trying to crawl. She refuses to even look like getting into a crawling position.
Spending time making presents with our children
***
A few extra plans for the week...
Pick Kynan up form the Airport tomorrow
Take Moran to a healing mass tomorrow, I hope I remember tomorrow.
Take Moran to her appointments
***
A Goal for Myself...
To put on my happy face and sing to myself and out loud again more.

Picture thoughts I am sharing...
Just some random images this week due to the random thoughts I am having .

I pray your own week will be full of Blessings.Blessings,

A Simple Womans Daybook - Preparing for Christmas

A Simple Woman's Daybook 16th November~

Here is the link to Peggy's who is our Hostess for A Simple Womans Daybook. Hop on over and see what some others are doing this week.

Outside My Window ...
Night is well under way finally (with daylight saving) it is an overcast and drizzly evening.
We are starting to get some of the wild daisies we have come up every year. And every year I have a running battle against Kynan with the lawn mower and leaving them to flower instead of cutting them down along side the grass.
***
I am listening to...
Relative silence as the younger children are all asleep. The older boys are in the storeroom looking for an old text book of their dad's for Kynan to use.
I am praying about.....
For Kynan that he will go well with the Job Interview on Thursday. Pleas spare a moment for him also. I am also praying for safe travel for him on the plane and train and buses to and from.
For a miracle sale of our house.
That both boys get good results for the exams they just finished.I am thinking about...
Plans for Christmas.
After wallowing in self pity about not being able to purchase Christmas gifts for our children this year. I finally allowed the creative juices to flow and talked to the children about an idea I had. This has allowed a fresh spirit to invade our home.
I will keep you in suspense as I am going to do a post based on this totally.
***
I am Reading...
The Out of Sync Child and The Obernewtyn Chronicles. I have read the first 3 books so far.
I had to wait for today for the 4th book- can't wait to start it.
***
From the kitchen....
Breakfast ~ oats and cereal. Herb tea and coffee. Toast and spreads.
Lunch ~ sit down lunch (we usually do this) Ham, potato and pasta salad, other salads veges for sandwiches, spreads and water.
Dinner ~ Left over stew from last night with bread but NO Yorkshire pudding tonight, that is a real pity.
Morning Tea ~ Hello Saxon! hmm, where are you? We seem to be missing this item - again!!!!!I am wearing....
Summer 3/4 pant and shirt pj's and slippers and a dressing gown as it is a little chilly tonight.
***
Living the Liturgical Year....
All my focus is on preparing for Advent at the moment.
***
From the Learning Room....
Plans for Advent and Christmas. These are in rough draft and I will be posting these this week too.
Mostly we are following plans from here
We have finished "D" week for the The Alphabet Path
I have started "E" week even though I haven't posted plans yet.
Making Christmas presents
Launching "Poor Box Toys Inc." (this is another little teaser for the forthcoming post)Pondering these Words...
Each night as I put Corbyn to sleep or when he wakes up in the night he asks me to sing to him. This is one of the songs I sing to him.

"Lord, you are, more precious than silver,
Lord, you are, more costly than gold,
Lord, you are, more beautiful than diamonds
and nothing I desire compares to You"
Around the house...
Get cleaning rosters back online. This is a bold statement, what I actually mean is get some cleaning actually done.
Really focus on Bedtime and prayer routines this week.
***
I will claim a moment for myself...
Continue making a knitted rabbit for Arwen along with the Advent Tree I found last week while cleaning out the craft baskets.
My favourite thing at the moment...
Arwen is chatting and singing so much, I just love responding to her.
Spending time with my little boy who needs some extra love.
***
A few extra plans for the week...
GOING NOWHERE- well except for taking Kynan to the airport.
I intend to stay home and spend lots of time creating, reading and loving.
***
A Goal for Myself...
Enjoy today each day. Be thankful for all I have and show my love to each of my children, and via long distance to my Honey.
***

A Simple Woman's Daybook 9th November~

Here is the link to Peggy's who is our Hostess for A Simple Womans Daybook. Hop on over and see what some others are doing this week.

Outside My Window ...
Hot muggy evening. This is so strange for us as only yesterday we were wearing winter clothes still.
***
I am listening to...
Well...... actually I am watching a movie with the older children while doing this and chatting with them at the same time.
I am praying about.....
The hope we can be reunited soon.
That Moran will be OK with the MRI that I have to organise for her. Did I mention this makes me extremely nervous?
That Kynan will go well with the Job Interview next week.
That both boys get good results for the exams they just finished.
***
I am thinking about...

A Darling Husband and precious children. What more can I ask for?

Finish "D" week for the The Alphabet Path with Moran, Myffwyn especially and Corbyn if he wants too. This has been disturbed by Exams for the older boys and house preparations.
Making Christmas presents
Actually prepare Monthly Outlines for Month of November, even though they are quite late now.
***
Around the house...
Make some Laundry soap and maybe even block soap.
Get cleaning rosters back online.
Get bedtime back on track. It is so hard when little ones can see it is still daylight when they are getting ready for bed.
***
I will claim a moment for myself...
Prepare and sew some clothes and Christmas presents for the children.

My favourite thing at the moment...
Spending time with my children.
***
A few extra plans for the week...
After today and going to Launceston again for another exam I pretty much wan to stay at home and focus here.
Except for a promised visit to a lady I really don't want to go any where this week.
***
A Goal for Myself...
I give up on my organising myself. I just want to not do much this week except prepare with the children for the start of Advent.
Picture thoughts I am sharing:
I love Robert Duncan's pictures. Once again these are pictures of family life and love. Filled with rural activities that speak to me of harmony and peace.

I pray your own week will be full of Blessings.
Blessings,

A Simple Woman's Daybook 26th October~

Here is the link to Peggy's who is our Hostess for A Simple Womans Daybook. Hop on over and see what some others are doing this week.

Outside My Window ...
Overcast day with out much breeze so not a good drying day for the clothes.
***
I am listening to...
Children packing up lunch and getting organised to go shopping. Others are doing cleaning ready for tomorrow.
I am Praying about...
That the tact we have taken with the house,ie ~that we drastically reduce the price will lead to the sale of the house.
Please God allow this to happen soon, we all desperately want this.

A homeschooling mother of 9 who I only know slightly but who Father John asked me to visit as she is dying of Advanced Cervical Cancer.
Another mother of 9 who is very ill also.
That I can concentrate on reading and learning about Moran's various issues and start to make a difference with her.
***
I am thinking about...
How tiring it is to constantly get the house ready for NON buying people to look at.
How excited the children were to be starting the new Mini unit studies from now to Advent.
Planning our Advent learning for this year.
Planning for Christmas presents on a depleted budget.
I am thankful for...
A God I know who cares even as I doubt the waiting for things to happen.
Loving and industrious children who can be relied on to pull together when needed.
***
From the Kitchen...
Breakfast is cold cereal and tea/coffee.
Lunch is sandwiches
Dinner sizzle steak on the BBQ (no stove again) jacket potatoes in the microwave and green salad.
Morning tea - none, again no stove.
***

The Out of Sync Child and The Kings of Clonmel in preparation for the NEW book due out on the 2nd of November, only in Australia.
Not much time for reading this week.

Great memories.A few extra plans for the week... YES THIS IS THE LIST FOR THIS WEEK, not last week.
Remember I lost last week.
Moran's Baptism Anniversary
Braedon's 18th Birthday. I am not sure if he actually wants to celebrate now or when we move so he can have a "celebratory" birthday.
On Friday Stephen is coming home so travel to Burnie to pick him up after taking Moran to Burnie at 12 noon for her appointment with the Occupational Therapist. Lots of travel this day.
Visit to the lady Father has asked me to. Hopefully Wednesday.
Start to organise the All Hallows Eve party, All Saints and All Souls day activities and food.
Start to plan for Advent and ChristmasA Goal for Myself...

Picture thoughts I am sharing:
Jesus caring for the children in his care. I must remember he does want our best interests and things will happen in His time not ours.
So easy to say much harder to do, now more than ever as time marches on towards 4 years of separation.
I pray your own week will be full of Blessings.

A Simple Womans Daybook - A Horizon of Hope

A Simple Woman's Daybook 18th October~ Sunday Night Edition

Here is the link to Peggy's who is our Hostess for A Simple Womans Daybook. Hop on over and see what some others are doing this week.

Outside My Window ...
Cloudy night sky. It has been very dismal here for most of the day.we are seeing more birds nesting and flowers are blooming everywhere.
The wallabies are feeding close to the house again, this is where all the fresh new growth is.
***
I am listening to...
The older boys getting ready for bed..finally. This is a very lengthy process and very ritualistic.
Moran moaning as she pushes me in the bed. Yes, that is right I am in bed as Miss Moran insisted I come up with her.

I am Praying about...
That the tact we have taken with the house,ie ~that we drastically reduce the price will lead to the sale of the house.

A homeschooling mother of 9 who I only know slightly but who Father John asked me to visit as she is dying of Advanced Cervical Cancer.
I cannot imagine the pain of this.
I am also at a loss as to what I would do or say when I do visit her.
Any ideas, this is definitely not my area of expertise.
That I can concentrate on reading and learning about Moran's various issues and start to make a difference with her.
That the optimism the children are displaying in regards to the house will help us all as we wait.
***
I am thinking about...
How in the midst of all our anxiety and burdens we truly are blessed.
Planning our Advent learning for this year.
Planning for Christmas presents on a depleted budget.

I am thankful for...
Healthy and safe Husband and children.
Everyone who prays for our situation 9selling the House and reuniting as a family) and for Moran's issues.
I am always amazingly blessed by these prayers.
***

Dinner what ever I can think of as I need to go shopping...again. The never ending story of my life.

***

Go on an exercise walk three times this week
***
My favourite thing at the moment...
A baby who laughs with us about all the fun things we play with her.
